Ein seltener BMW ALPINA B9 (E23) wird “entwendet” und findet dank einer aufmerksamen Community seinen glücklichen Besitzer wieder – eine fast unglaubliche Geschichte in Kurzfassung.
Thies Böker fährt mit seinem seltenen BMW ALPINA B9 von zum Friseur inmitten von Hamburg und parkt in einer belebten Einkaufstraße. Nach kurzem Aufenthalt sitzt die Frisur, aber der Wagen ist weg. Einfach so, gestohlen, am helllichten Tag. Verzweifelt und mit wenig Hoffnung wendet Thieß sich an diverse Foren und natürlich auch an Facebook.
Ein paar Tage später ist Jens Seltrecht, Besitzer der Garage-11, unweit des Tatorts unterwegs und wundert sich über einen BMW ALPINA B9 der vor ihm die Straße entlang geschoben wird und ruft geistesgegenwärtig die Polizei. Dank eines launigen Luftmengenmesser und dem schnellen Eingreifen der Behörden hat Thies Böker sein geliebtes Automobil wider Erwartunten zurück! Als Dankeschön besucht er Jens Seltrecht in Hamburg und überreicht ihm ein ALPINA OAL-BB50 Buch mit persönlicher Widmung von Burkard Bovensiepen.

A very rare BMW ALPINA B9 (E23) was stolen and returned to its rightful owner thanks to a very attentive community - an incredible story....
Thies Böker has an appointment at the hairdresser, located in the centre of Hamburg (Germany), so far nothing unusual. However, he decides to take his very rare BMW ALPINA B9, parking it on a busy shopping street. When he comes back, the car was gone. Stolen, in broad daylight. In his despair, he reaches out to enthusiasts forums and posts his plight on Facebook.
Fast forward two days and Jens Seltrecht, the owner of Garage-11, is driving around the same area and sees someone pushing said BMW ALPINA B9 down the high street in the rain. Putting two and two together, he immediately calls the police. Thanks to a faulty air flow meter and the fast reactions of the authority, Thies Böker is quickly back in the possession of his beloved automobile. As a special thank you, he organises an ALPINA OAL-BB50 book for Jens Seltrecht, adorned with a personal note from Burkard Bovensiepen. Happy ending!
