Today me and my father was in Talsi and testdrive one 525 TDS -97
There is a problem with the car, and both me and my father cant find a solution of what it can be.
The is a sound when the enginge is idle on 700rpm, but if you only take it upp like 200rpm the sound is away. Also, you dont here it on the outside. Maybe there is a broken engingepillow (not correct word)?
Maybe there is a bearing on the drive shaft that is broken?
I hope you have som better answer, and maybe you know how much it cost to fix it here in Latvia.

| I would be very precautious of buying that car. Be awere that there is up to 300.000-400.000km on the clock and sound in the engine does not sound like a good bargain to me.

| It standes on the clock 170.000km but i know how easy and nice you take it back a few km. This car is also new imported.
Maybe we go and look for a 530D instead. Becouse my father takes about 80.000km per year, so the enginge must hold. No time for suprises.

| 530d is a different animal, only watch out for high milage..
